Imagine my shock this morning when I realized there was no post yesterday! I buried my head in my hands and groaned. I was rather sorry, for it was my first slip-up in schedule on this website since I put the schedule in place. :( Oh well, there always has to be a first, hasn't there? So here we have what was supposed to be Wednesday's post, on Thursday.
First off let's talk about how crazy it is that we're in June already! The year is half over! One side of me is thrilled that Christmas is all that sooner, (Yes, I am a child at heart!) but the other half is pretty much doing that crying-emoji face. I'm so excited with how much has already happened/got completed/begun this year, but then there's so much more I want to do... I used to wish I didn't have to sleep, because that would mean so much more time! But now I'll be quick to say that my sleep is an important and treasured part of my schedule. Non-negotiable. :P
One plus about being in a brand new month is that we get a brand new challenge. :) June's challenge is to write a story set in your homeplace. I can't WAIT to see what kind of stories I'll hear from you all! :) I'm a missionary kid, so I'm kind of from nowhere/everywhere... or at least I claim two places as home for certain. Now that's going to be a pretty little conundrum. Should I write about Oklahoma or Japan? Cast your vote in the comments!
I'd also love to know where you all are from! Please let me know... I'm super-duper curious. :D I also want to give you all a mini-challenge to go along with the writing challenge...if you have a bookbug friend in a different place from you--whether it's a different country, state, or even town-- let them know about these writing challenges and try them out together! :)
You all have a lovely day!
